What to expect:

The Documentation and Research department is undergoing a profound transformation process. Existing tasks are being further developed and strategically realigned according to requirements.

Technological developments, especially in the field of artificial intelligence/machine learning, are being utilized more to ensure the accessibility and diverse use of video and audio material.

Therefore, we value flexibility and the willingness to take on new or different tasks in the future.

  • Documenting music productions and recordings of all media genres based on the ARD documentation regulations
  • Independently carrying out special tasks and projects
  • Collaborating on the development and automation of work processes
  • Contributing to the development of new approaches for using archive material
  • Conducting complex content research in internal and external databases and advising archive users on their own and others' music content, taking into account the rights situation

What you bring:


  • Completed university degree, qualification as a scientific documentalist
  • Very solid knowledge of music and good knowledge of music repertoire
  • Proficient in working with archive and information systems, even under time pressure
  • Good knowledge
