Description

We are looking for you to join our 3-year training program as a locomotive shunter for DB Cargo AG at our locations in Cuxhaven, Seevetal, or Stade (Hansestadt).

The vocational school is located in Hamburg Nettelnburg and the training center is in Maschen.

Here's what you can expect from your training:

Shunting of freight wagons onto the appropriate tracks
Assembling freight trains by coupling and uncoupling individual wagons
Checking the functionality of freight trains and securing the cargo are also part of your tasks
You will become an expert in the rules for safe railway operations and your shunting locomotive
You will drive a locomotive to nearby customers, such as various companies, to pick up the goods for transport
You will start and end your workday at your regional shunting yard.

You have (or will soon have) successfully completed school and have a passion for technology
Working outdoors in the fresh air is something you enjoy
You remain calm and keep a clear head even in challenging situations
You take on responsibility and make decisions confidently
You are reliable and able to handle stress
You are willing to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
