Minimum Qualifications
These roles will be filled through temporary appointments under Section 64.3 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description
This role is for either the I-81 Viaduct Project Design Section Head/Design Manager or the I-81 Viaduct Project Construction Section Head/Area Supervisor. Reporting directly to the Project Coordinator, responsibilities include:
- Manage, supervise, and lead design units and staff.
- Coordinate with Main Office design groups for compliance.
- Assist in managing project design needs.
- Prepare project reports, plans, and specifications.
For the Construction Project Assistant role:
- Manage construction contracts to project completion.
- Provide leadership to staff for project quality.
- Supervise construction staff and manage resources effectively.
- Address construction problems and disputes efficiently.
- Coordinate with various parties involved in construction projects.
Responsibilities may also include supporting the department during emergency situations.
