Are Deep Learning models reliable? How can we assess and certify AI models?
The Applied Machine Learning group at HHI is seeking a scientist* to address these questions by developing novel auditing and benchmarking methods for AI, which will be integrated into our technology portfolio and utilized in ongoing projects.
Specifically, HHI is involved in the creation of a unique EU hub, known as the "testing and experimentation facility (TEF) for health", which will serve as a platform at the EU level to facilitate safe and efficient market access for AI products in the healthcare sector.
In collaboration with our partners, including the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and the Technischer Überwachungsverein (TÜV), we are working towards establishing quality assurance procedures for this project.

Your responsibilities
- Analyzing and preprocessing various types of data (e.g. time series, images, text)
- Developing new ML methods, with a focus on DL methods
- Authoring scientific publications and presenting at toplevel conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR)
- Supporting project management and supervising students
Your qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Excellent programming skills in Python and extensive experience with DL frameworks, such
