    Join Our Team as a Social Services Program Coordinator!

    Job purpose

    As a key member of our team, you will work under the guidance of the Program Supervisor to assist in screening and enrolling clients in various social service programs. Your role will involve providing top-notch case management, advocacy, and information-referral services to our valued clients. You will also be responsible for maintaining precise documentation of services and fostering connections with government agencies and community organizations.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver exceptional customer service and support clients in accessing advocacy and community resources.
    • Evaluate clients for program eligibility and assist them in enrolling in suitable programs based on their needs.
    • Gather necessary documentation for assessments and enrollment purposes.
    • Conduct thorough case management by identifying client needs, creating service plans, and empowering clients towards self-sufficiency.
    • Create and distribute marketing materials, organize outreach activities, and expand resource networks for the Social Service Department.
    • Maintain accurate records of services provided, complying with all organizational regulations and contractual obligations.
    • Submit reliable service data and reports to Lead/Senior Case Manager and funding sources.
    • Work on personal development goals and engage in continuous training for career growth.
    • Assist with receptionist duties when needed.
    • Participate in workshops, trainings, and agency events as required.
    • Undertake any other tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences, or a related field, from an accredited university. Alternatively, possess a minimum of two years' experience in social services.
    • Display knowledge of community resources and a solid understanding of social service practices.
    • Must be bilingual, with proficiency in English and Chinese, Vietnamese, and/or Spanish.
    • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for collaboration.
    • Openness to working on weekends when necessary.
    • Ability to engage with a diverse population and build rapport with individuals and families.
    • Hold a valid California Driver's license, auto insurance, and have reliable transportation.
