    Job Description

    The main goal of the OFR is to support the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) in enhancing financial stability by managing data collection for FSOC and its member agencies, conducting research, developing risk measurement tools, and providing related services. The OFR makes its findings available to financial regulatory bodies and assists them in data collection standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    - Develop, maintain, and update Geographic Information System (GIS) databases by gathering data from various sources
    - Identify relevant GIS information and convert it into suitable formats, ensuring accuracy and completeness
    - Create maps and GIS documents, provide expertise in GIS tools, and offer technical support to users
    - Collaborate with researchers, analysts, and technologists using ARCGIS and/or PostGIS

    The ideal candidate should excel in designing systems and databases for geospatial data, analyzing geospatial data for economic research, creating GIS datasets for research projects, and providing technical support for GIS tools.

    Requirements

    Education & Experience

    - Degree in GIS, geography, or related field with strong GIS knowledge
    - Proficiency in geodatabases, ArcGIS tools, GPS data collection, and map projections
    - Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with excellent communication skills
