POSITION DETAILS
Event Logistics Manager, NF

Full Time hours weekly, Benefited)

$ $28.00/hour


JOB SUMMARY
Direct the administration of all housekeeping and maintenance services for public and staff areas. Ensure the highest standards of sanitation, safety, comfort and aesthetics. Ensure all events receive all required supplies and are set up properly.

Supervise all Logistics employees, plan and schedule work assignments, inform new employees about club regulations, inspect Custodian and Logistics personnel work assignments and requisition supplies.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans the work of the custodian and logistics department and distributes assignments accordingly; assigns regular and special duties to house persons (custodians), inspectors and linen room attendants; schedules employees and assigns days off according to occupancy forecasts; maintains a timelog record book of all employees within the department.
  • Inspects the custodian staff periodically to check quantity and quality of work.
  • Inform laborer for the day and instruct them on how to setup for the event
  • Ensure that food is delivered on time for offsite events
  • Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfers equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessary.
  • Receive rental equipment at various locations on and off the Academy
  • Communicate with the catering staff and kitchen staff daily to keep up with any changes or concerns.
  • Instruct the custodian of his/her duties for the day and ensure that the duties are carried out.
  • If catering in Alumni Hall, communicate with staff regarding schedule of setup.
  • Inspect the club for areas to be cleaned on a daily basis
  • Setup catered events and transport equipment and food if needed.
  • Produce diagrams for room layout for catered events
  • Assist other managers and employees as needed
  • Communicates with linen company to ensure the needs of the NABSD Retail Dining are met in quantity and quality.
  • Makes schedules (for both NABSD and Temp employees)
  • Evaluate and prepare annual evaluations for the Logistics Staff.
  • Train assigned employees in their area of work in compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Train assigned employees in the proper use of equipment and chemicals
  • Inspect employee workstations regularly for compliance to applicable standards and procedures.
  • Ensure the adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Supervise all logistics employees; write warning notices when policies have been violated; evaluate employees for promotions or transfers as openings arise.
  • Informs new employees about regulations; trains and assigns new employees to work with experienced employees; occasionally checks the work of new employees and reviews the reports made by inspectors.
  • Makes recommendations regarding necessary capital expenditures and special maintenance and repair improvements.
  • Develops and implements linen, supply and other inventory management programs to control expenses.
  • Plans "deep cleaning" activities and schedules for club's public areas.
  • Participates in ongoing evaluation programs to ensure that all club areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Plans professional development and training activities for subordinates.
  • Works with other department heads for set up of furniture and other necessary items for special events.
  • Conducts regular inspections of all club facilities to note needs for special cleaning.
  • Maintains MSDS forms and conducts chemical safety training programs for department personnel.
  • Supervises compliance with outsourced cleaning contractors.
  • Attends department head and other staff meetings.
  • Completes other appropriate tasks assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS


Applicants who meet the qualification requirements will be further evaluated to determine the extent to which their education, related experience, training, awards, and supervisory appraisal demonstrate they possess the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs).


  • Must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance requires 18 years of age
  • Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
  • Verification of employment eligibility in the United States is required
  • Oneyear probationary period
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for Tier 3 Positions
