Summary:
Generate new profitable financial relationships for Lakeside Bank.

Work with SVP, Director of Treasury Management to develop banking strategies to sell products and services to prospective clients, focusing on the business and commercial banking segments, emphasizing core deposits, small business loans, commercial/retail operating accounts and treasury management referrals while promoting our business services and other bank products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/RESPONSIBILITY

  • Identify and acquire new banking relationships while retaining existing clients. Consistently meets and/or exceeds established sales goals for the month, quarter, and annual basis.
  • Sources leads. Prospects new business by meeting with new and existing clients to provide financial solutions and then effectively manages the sales process from start to finish. Develop a weekly sales plan and establish a preset number of weekly calls.
  • Understand differing industry financial and credit product needs and trends. Keep informed through independent sources, seminars and classes to further enhance knowledge of sales, product knowledge and lending opportunities.
  • Produce growth income by selling business and retail products and treasury management services; provides all tracking and reporting as required by management.
  • Act as a liaison with the Retail & Commercial teams and other business lines within the bank. Mentor and coach branch staff as needed.
  • Maintain a positive, professional image for Lakeside Bank by participating in community events, local organization events and networking activities as a representative for the bank. Participate on various committees; accepts memberships and official positions in various community organizations. Develop those networking relationships and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Support company wide sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives; executes local strategies.
  • Complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Complies with the Bank's policies and procedures.
  • Attend branch and appropriate bank meetings as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • All duties and responsibilities must be performed in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • None.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A solid understanding of small business and retail banking knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven customer service, sales and crossselling skills as well as excellent negotiation skills and experience
  • Ability and motivation to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong mathematical, problemsolving, and attention to detail.
  • Creative, out of the box thinking.
  • NMLS required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a business related major, minimum of five (5) years of experience in the financial industry preferred. (Or a high school diploma / GED and 8 years of progressive banking experience and/or training.) Sales management experience is preferred. Must have a solid understanding of small business and retail banking knowledge. Retail and small business lending experience a plus. NMLS certification required.
