At EDEKA Merchel, we are a dedicated training company and place great value on the next generation in the food retail industry. Currently, 15 apprentices are part of our team of 85 employees. 14 of our trainees support us in the market, while one of them strengthens our team in the butchery. In total, we offer apprenticeships for five professions, including salespeople, retail merchants, and fresh food specialists, all certified by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

In addition, newcomers have the opportunity to fill apprenticeships as butchers and specialist salespeople in the food trade with a focus on butchery, which are approved by the Chamber of Crafts (HWK).

Our victory at the EDEKA Supercup 2013 shows that we not only strive to meet high standards, but are actually capable of doing so. However, we do not rest on our past achievements, but work every day to ensure that all customers leave our market satisfied.
