The Associate Director, OCAR (Organized Customer Access and Reimbursement) Planning and Operations, US Oncology reports to the Director, Long-term Access Strategy, Planning and Operations, US Oncology and focuses on planning and execution for the OCAR organization.

This individual will be a key business partner to the OCAR team and across broader cross-functional teams within our Company Oncology.

This includes working in an Agile setting and supporting the TBR (Trimester Business Review) process for OCAR, leading implementation and realization of additional yet to be determined change management efforts, establishing with OCAR leadership team a departmental specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) process and managing the OCAR investment process to allocate ~$30MM of promotional initiatives and resources.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

  • Advance OCAR US Oncology operations and planning through collaboration and coordination across teams, by supporting operational rigor and efficient budget management, as well as helping to establish and ultimately track departmental KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities to drive business efforts, simplify operations, and take work out of the system as feasible to produce efficiencies.
  • Support the yearly IPP process (yearly budget alignment to support plan), with the Director, Longterm Access Strategy, Planning and Operations, and manage the OCAR investment process to allocate ~$30MM of promotional initiatives and resources. Monitor projects to ensure investments are realized and make appropriate investment adjustments based on team requirements.
  • Working in an Agile setting, lead implementation and realization of planning and change management efforts within OCAR, including TBR (Trimester Business Review).
  • Establish a centralized process to monitor OCAR performance across Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Work with OCAR Leadership to address any identified performance gaps.
  • Develop and engage OCAR team members and the Director, Longterm Access Strategy, Planning and Operations, to support additional planning efforts and implementation on an ad hoc basics.
  • Lead planning and execution of monthly OCAR Extended Team meetings, a forum for sharing and discussion to support optimal business operations across multiple functions that work closely with OCAR.
  • Support or lead other important operational aspects of OCAR, potentially including planning around Engagement of 3rd Party Pathway Organizations that provide treatment decision support to approximately 50% of oncologists.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • 5 years of combined experience in Business Operations, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Finance, Customer Management, or Policy within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or related industry.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical critical thinking and planning skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Budget management experience across multiple projects and subteams.
  • Proactive nature and ability to identify opportunities to optimize business operations, manage change, & anticipate operational risk
  • Excellent crossfunctional team collaboration and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Selfstarter who demonstrates operational rigor, attention to detail, and budget management and project management capabilities, with an enterprise mindset.
  • Comfort and confidence in working with diverse teams and backgrounds; routinely demonstrates inclusive behaviors; actively seeks out diverse perspectives and experiences.
  • Experience with SAP, Ariba, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work at least 3 days per week at the North Wales, PA (Upper Gwynedd) site.
  • Travel as needed for meetings and conferences %).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Relevant experience in operations, finance and/or marketing.
  • Demonstrated interest in Oncology business and market access.
