Description

Polar Power is looking for Experienced Assemblers for production of specialized Diesel, natural gas, propane generators and solar PV hybrid systems.

Assemblers are responsible for putting together component parts using hand tools and mechanical equipment to produce high quality products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Use hand tools including airpowered tools, torque wrenches, drills, screwdrivers
Use measurement tools including: tape, caliper, multimeter, gauge sets
Work with all types of fasteners and rivets
Read and comprehend instructions, follow established procedures and write notes (usually on work orders and travelers)
Work in a team environment learning and sharing productivity methods to improve the overall performance
Identify any abnormalities of the parts/components or assembly process and work with Leads and Supervisor to find a solution to the problem.
Perform 5s the work area
Check output to ensure highest quality
Maintain equipment in good condition
Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Performs other related duties as assigned by management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Continually required to stand
Frequently required to walk, bend, kneel, stoop
Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
Frequently required to talk or hear
Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
The employee must lift and /or move more than 40 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus

WAGES:

Wages are based on experience and talent. There is significant opportunity for advancement.
