Perfect Then we are looking forward to having you as a Parent Support Worker (m/f/d) in a parental leave replacement position in Westmont, PA.
Since 2016, our Parent Support Workers have been working in various districts to promote strong community and educational equity. They empower parents in their parenting skills and as guides for their children's educational journey. A dialogical approach is at the core of their work.


For our location at the
Hermann-Von-Helmholtz-Schule in Berlin-Neukölln, we are looking for a Parent Support Worker starting on May 3, 2023.


Job Description:


What are your responsibilities?

  • Individual support for parents in their parenting and educational processes, including trying new approaches to communication
  • Development and implementation of lowthreshold educational and counseling services
  • Acting as a guide
  • Strengthening collaboration among all those involved in the educational process, both within and outside of the school
  • Social networking and cooperation
  • Collaboration with the school management and the entire team at the location, jointly developing an overall strategy for supporting parents at the school, involving stakeholders from the local community

You bring with you:


  • A pedagogical or social pedagogical education or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in working with families/parents
