is a research institution funded by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and is the carrier of the Leibniz Institute for Occupational Research at TU Dortmund (IfADo).

IfADo conducts interdisciplinary research on the risks and potentials of modern work, combining the fields of ergonomics, immunology, toxicology, psychology, and neuroscience.

The Department of Ergonomics is currently seeking a


Research Assistant (m/f/d) for Doctoral Studies
to be filled at the earliest possible date. This is a part-time position (75%), initially limited to 3 years.

If a diploma or master's degree is not yet available, a short-term employment as a research assistant may be considered.

The tasks include scientific work in a project that investigates the neurocognitive foundations of working memory.

The focus will be on researching how working memory uses past information to make predictions about future cognitive or motor operations.

The majority of data collection will be based on EEG experiments. The available (f)MRI can be used to support the localization of brain activity measured by EEG.


Your Profile

  • Diploma/master's degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field
