We have an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and self-directed Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager to support our ongoing compliance and risk reduction efforts at the Woburn, MA site.

This site offers the EH&S professional an opportunity to work in a fast-paced engineering environment to foster employee engagement and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program.


In addition to managing day to day EH&S activities in Woburn, this role will lead the Ergonomics program for Raytheon sites in the Northeast.

This will require collaboration with site EH& teams, factory line employees, engineers and management.


What You Will Do

  • Recognize, evaluate, and control hazardous workplace conditions.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
  • Execute initiatives, programs, reports, and training across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance.
  • Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Investigate, analyze, and interpret data from injuries and nearmisses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Interact with employees of all levels, promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.
  • Coordinate the Ergonomics program for assigned sites, including:
  • Review ergonomic injury data, metrics and trends from assigned sites to identify common causes and develop common solutions to prevent ergonomic injuries.
  • Review and investigate ergonomics cases and concerns and develop corrective actions to mitigate risk.
  • Position requires limited travel for participation in Company seminars, EHS audits and training opportunities.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • 8 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with identification and mitigation of ergonomic hazards.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a
    degree in EH&S, or Related preferred:
  • Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) also OK but not preferred unless applicable unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Previous experience with managing EH&S issues in a union work environment
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Project management and execution skills
