Description
Your tasks:
- Ensuring the quality of groundwater
- Inspecting sewer and wastewater systems for contamination and leaks using special cameras and robots
- Repairing leaks
- Testing and repairing pipes, basins, and water channels for leaks
- Assessing the condition of property drainage systems
- Repairing minor and moderate damage to structures
- Monitoring pumps
- Collecting water samples in case of suspected water pollution
Training process:
The training program lasts for 3 years.
During this time, you will learn various skills and knowledge necessary for your future job, including:
- Understanding the importance of environmental technology, ecological cycles, and hygiene
- Operating specific machinery and techniques used in the industry
- Storing and transporting substances and goods
- Handling electrical hazards
- Using information and communication systems
- Cleaning pipelines, wastewater structures, and channels
- Maintaining pipelines, wastewater structures, and channels
Practical training:
- Conducted at the Technical Department of the City of Bochum in the Sewage Division
- Courses at the DEULA Education Center in Kempen
Theoretical training:
- Theoretical classes will be held at the Hans-Schwier Vocational College in Gelsenkirchen
Completion:
Upon completion of the training program, you will receive a certificate as a specialist in pipe, sewer, and industrial services with a focus on pipe and sewer services.
