Your tasks:

  • Ensuring the quality of groundwater
  • Inspecting sewer and wastewater systems for contamination and leaks using special cameras and robots
  • Repairing leaks
  • Testing and repairing pipes, basins, and water channels for leaks
  • Assessing the condition of property drainage systems
  • Repairing minor and moderate damage to structures
  • Monitoring pumps
  • Collecting water samples in case of suspected water pollution

Training process:
The training program lasts for 3 years.

During this time, you will learn various skills and knowledge necessary for your future job, including:


  • Understanding the importance of environmental technology, ecological cycles, and hygiene
  • Operating specific machinery and techniques used in the industry
  • Storing and transporting substances and goods
  • Handling electrical hazards
  • Using information and communication systems
  • Cleaning pipelines, wastewater structures, and channels
  • Maintaining pipelines, wastewater structures, and channels

Practical training:

  • Conducted at the Technical Department of the City of Bochum in the Sewage Division
  • Courses at the DEULA Education Center in Kempen

Theoretical training:

  • Theoretical classes will be held at the Hans-Schwier Vocational College in Gelsenkirchen

Completion:


Upon completion of the training program, you will receive a certificate as a specialist in pipe, sewer, and industrial services with a focus on pipe and sewer services.
