Research Associate

(E 13 TV-L)


in a DFG-funded third-party project on the topic of "Quantification of river incision and uplift in the Rhenish Massif through dating of fluvial terraces using cosmogenic nuclides".

The position is part-time (75%) and is initially limited to 3 years, starting on October 1, 2023.


Your tasks:


  • Participation in the abovementioned project. The research work includes geological field work, sample collection and preparation, work in the geochemical laboratory, and data analysis.
  • The position also involves conducting a doctoral project.
  • Presentation of project results at national and international conferences.
  • Publication of project results in international scientific journals.

Our expectations:


  • A university degree (Master's degree) in geosciences or geography (with a focus on physical geography) is required.
