About the position:


In addition to its core strengths in Personal Systems, Printing, and Collaboration, HP is advancing its capabilities as a solution provider.

Building on a strong heritage in managed print services and expanding into areas including managed device services and managed collaboration services, HP is helping its customers improve employee productivity across their workforce and workspace.

Our portfolio and partnerships in software and services enable us to provide a comprehensive portfolio of compelling solutions to our enterprise, mid-market, and even, in partnership with our strategic channel partners, to the SMB segment.

An important enabler of this growth initiative is expanding our managed services capabilities to ensure we can deliver ongoing monitoring, management, and support of high-value solutions to our customers.

To help us build out this important capability, we are seeking an experienced executive to lead the transformation and growth of our Managed Services business.


The VP and GM of Managed Services is a global role responsible for overseeing the portfolio of monitoring, management, and support practices as well as high-quality service delivery to our customers.

This leader will drive the strategy, innovation, and execution of our managed services capabilities while also focusing on transforming a global organization of talented, motivated people supporting the growth objectives of our Personal Systems, Printing, and Workforce Solutions business units.


This leader will be responsible for the definition, delivery, and overall P&L of horizontal Managed Services capabilities supporting multiple customer solution areas relating to the Future of Work (including our Modern Workforce, Next-Gen Workspace, Transformational IT Management, and Security).

These solutions include hardware, software, services, and supplies from both HP and third parties. These solutions can be sold and/or deployed by our world-class channel and partner service network.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership and Management: As the leader of the Managed Services organization, they will be responsible for setting the overall strategic direction for the organization and ensuring that it is aligned with the company's goals and objectives. They must also provide strong leadership and management to the team of professionals working under them.
  • Financial Management: Drive revenue growth, profitability, and costeffectiveness of the Managed Services business through effective budgeting, resource allocation, and financial analysis.
  • Customer Relationship Management: The VP of Managed Services is responsible for managing customer relationships and ensuring that the services provided meet their needs and expectations. This may involve working closely with sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities and upsell existing services.
  • Project Management: The VP of Managed Services is responsible for managing ongoing service delivery for our customers. This includes monitoring system health, managing updates, addressing issues proactively (ideally through automation or remote management), and reporting on their success to customers.
  • Resource Management: The VP of Managed Services is responsible for managing the business's resources, including people, technology, and processes. They must ensure that the team has the necessary skills and tools to deliver highquality services to customers.
  • Performance Management: The VP of Managed Services is responsible for setting performance goals for the team and monitoring progress against those goals. They must provide regular feedback and coaching to team members and ensure that they have the necessary training and development opportunities.
  • Risk Management: The VP of Managed Services is responsible for identifying and mitigating risks associated with service delivery and change management. This may involve working with legal and compliance teams to ensure that services comply with applicable laws and regulations.
