The Federal Association for Debt Counseling (BAG-SB) represents the interests of debt and insolvency counseling practices as well as over-indebted households in Germany.

As a nationally recognized professional association, BAG-SB has been advocating for consumer protection since 1986.

We are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our team.


Responsibilities:

  • Independently create budgets and financial plans
  • Develop staffing plans
  • Calculate prices for new projects
  • Manage reimbursements and prepare usage reports for funding providers
  • Collaborate with accounting firm to prepare annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Submit tax returns and handle tax planning and control
  • Conduct financial planning and monitoring
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze deviations from budget
  • Develop scenarios and alternative strategies
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • Supervise and manage assigned team members
  • Serve as main point of contact for audits (e.g. by accounting firm or tax authorities)
  • Negotiate contracts and financial agreements with business partners and representatives of public institutions
  • Continuously improve processes and administrative and financial accounting structures
  • In case of absence (e.g.

vacation):

  • Record business transactions
  • Review invoices for accuracy and relevance
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Manage debt collection processes

Requirements:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or business law
  • Experience
