Reducing down time, and ensuring equipment is back in operation is always a priority of ours.


Shipping Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
  • Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
  • Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
  • Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders
  • Supervise and lead subordinates (receiving clerks, order pickers etc.)
  • Control budget of the shipping department
  • Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
  • Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
  • Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
  • Report to management on activities and issues
  • Operate forklift/pallet jack to move product and pallets
  • Partner with management in hiring and training of Shipping team and conducting performance reviews
  • Develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth. Includes subordinates in planning. Makes selfavailable to subordinates. Provides direction and gains compliance. Provides regular performance feedback. Takes responsibility for subordinates' activities.
  • Develops alternative solutions. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
Identifies problems in a timely manner. Resolves problems in early stages. Works well in group problem solving situations.

  • Integrates changes smoothly. Plans for additional resources. Prioritizes and plans work activities. Sets goals and objectives. Uses time efficiently. Works in an organized manner.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • 5+ years of shipping and receiving experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing others in shipping and receiving or a closely related field
  • Familiarity with freight and international shipments
  • Experience using shipping and receiving software
  • The ability, willingness, knowledge and experience to drive improvement of department process and create new processes as needed

Pay:
$60, $65,000.00 per year
