- Effectively operate a haul truck or other equipment such as front end loader, dozer, and excavator as needed.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance on equipment.
- Notify supervisor of safety, mechanical, or electrical issues with assigned equipment.
- Deal with customers, co-workers, and management in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Maintains constant awareness of safety, efficiency and displays a flexibility and out of the box thinking with the capability to solve problems.
- Willing to work outside in all types of weather.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during peak times.
- Prior experience working in a mining environment preferred.
- Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Perform all work in accordance with YBP Safety policies.
- The work is performed outdoors and/or indoors, enduring heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements.
- Capable of operating various types of heavy equipment and/or machinery.
- Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Haul Truck Operator is responsible for safely moving material from the quarry to the primary crusher or surge pile. The operator must be aware of maintaining efficient loading/hauling practices.
