Summary:

The Mental Health Professional (MHP) will work to support the clinical treatment team through services for Futures Unlimited clients who suffer from mental health disorders.

Under the supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health and/or the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), the MHP will assist with the provision of direct supports which are identified in each client's individualized treatment plans.


Responsibilities:


  • As requested, assist with clinical assessments and the development of clientcentered treatment plans.
  • Ensure billable services are documented and submitted in accordance with applicable rules.
  • Provide training to agency staff to support the implementation of treatment plans.
  • Implement treatment plans, as written, making recommendations for modifications, as needed.
  • As requested, participate in agencywide functions to support the entire agency, including interagency and intraagency committees.
  • Complete case notes and other required documentation in compliance with regulations and agency policy.
  • Maintain files in accordance with applicable regulations and agency standards.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to agency polices and procedures.
  • Employee may be asked to perform other duties to support the agency.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds. The employee must have the ability to walk a moderate distance, greater than 250 feet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, psychology, pastoral counseling, or
  • A bachelor's degree in any other field with two years of documented clinical experience in a mental health setting under the supervision of a QMHP, or
  • A high school diploma or GED and a minimum of five years of documented clinical experience in mental health or human services
  • Ability to work in an environment with productivity targets.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Mathematical knowledge to include basic addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and computing averages.
  • Exemplary problemsolving and analytic skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills such as PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, and Word
