Nutrition Director


The Nutrition Director will develop and implement nutrition program strategy to ensure agency can meet current and future consumer needs.

This is a full-time, exempt (35 hour/week) position. We offer a hybrid remote schedule. Our office is located in Malden, MA with ample free parking

Top 5 Key Activities:


  • Implement, lead and update processes and systems to ensure compliance with EOEA, State and Federal regulations as it relates to the Elder Nutrition Program
  • Review overall contractual compliance and address consumer issues by conducting community needs assessments and surveys
  • Lead in supervising, mentoring, and training managers
  • Plan/promote and conduct evidencebased nutrition workshops at local community venues for staff, consumers and community members with a minimum of 2 per site per year
  • Monitor program budgets and spending

Other Activities:


  • Participate on applicable committees and workgroup inside and outside the agency
  • Review kitchen inspection and work with team to develop improvement strategies
  • Attend monthly Registered Dietician meetings with EOEA
  • Submit all applicable reports to EOEA State Nutritionist
  • Develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures related Elder Nutrition Program

Qualifications:


  • A Registered Dietician with at least five years of management and supervisory experience in the food service industry and experience in a health care, home health, or human service setting
or

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field with at least five years of management and supervisory experience in the food service industry and experience in a health care, home health, or human service setting
  • Strong analytical, managerial, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven supervisory and project management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple high priority objectives/projects
  • Indepth understanding of the Elder Nutrition industry including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate across all levels, including staff, board members and external partners
  • Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to work effectively independently or as a team
  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved.
  • Experience working in a 501c3 organization strongly preferred.
