The city of Delitzsch is looking to fill the position of Head of Department in the Treasury as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a department with four employees
  • Handling tasks related to budget planning and execution for the city and a public utility company
  • Preparing the annual financial statements in close coordination with other responsible departments
  • Responding to inquiries regarding budget implementation from other departments
  • Analyzing budget data

Requirements/Your profile:

  • Successfully completed degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Three years of professional experience
  • Enjoyment of working with municipal financial accounting
  • Understanding of complex accounting processes
  • Knowledge of municipal budget law is desirable
  • Proficient in standard office applications, practical experience with IFR is desirable
  • Analytical, precise and systematic work style
  • Confident communication, even in difficult situations
  • Strong social skills, especially in communication and conflict resolution, as well as teamwork
  • High resilience and sense of responsibility
  • Willingness to participate in further training
