    Job Description

    Aramark Healthcare+ is looking for a Food Service Director to lead the Food & Nutrition Services Team at Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus, NE. As the Food Service Director, you will oversee patient services and manage dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. You will be in charge of supervising a team of four employees at a 48-bed hospital.

    Job Responsibilities

    Leadership

    • Lead, mentor, engage, and develop teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, training, coaching, and managing performance
    • Ensure food services appropriately connect to the Executional Framework
    • Coach employees by creating a shared understanding of goals and execution strategies
    • Reward and acknowledge employees
    • Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations

    Client Relationship

    • Identify client needs and effectively communicate operational progress

    Financial Performance

    • Adopt Aramark processes and systems
    • Maximize revenue and manage budget, including cost controls for food, beverage, and labor
    • Ensure completion and maintenance of P&L statements
    • Achieve food and labor targets
    • Manage resources for quality and cost control within budgetary guidelines

    Productivity

    • Implement and maintain Aramark agenda for labor and food initiatives
    • Create value through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management
    • Ensure full compliance with Operational Excellence fundamentals
    • Direct and oversee operations related to production, distribution, and food service

    Compliance

    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment
    • Comply with all policies, rules, and regulations for safety, health, wage, and hour

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish and maintain systems for ordering, receiving, and serving food products
    • Develop operational forecasts and manage accounting functions
    • Ensure sanitation and safety levels are met
    • Supervise unit personnel for production, quality, cost control, and employee training
    • Recruit, hire, develop, and retain front line team
    • Conduct inventory
    • Maintain records to comply with standards
    • Interact with Client Management and maintain effective client relations
    • Look for opportunities to implement new products and services supporting sales growth

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Manage the front of the house of the dining operation
    • Develop and implement food service plans aligned with the client's mission and vision

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of food service healthcare leadership experience
    • 3+ years of management experience
    • Previous experience in food service
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to develop and maintain effective client and customer relationships
    • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service
    • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments
    • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods
