Vela - Dishwasher Position Summary:

This
Dishwasher is responsible for supplying clean and sanitized dishes to the dining room and kitchen stations. It also includes operating and maintaining the dish washing equipment and supplies.


Essential Job Functions

  • Follows all company policies as outlined in the _Employee Handbook_ and the ?General Policies and Procedures? section of the _Dishwasher Training Manual_.
  • Maintains a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts 10 minutes prior to scheduled time, switching and finding replacements for no more than 5% of scheduled shifts, following company time off and illness procedures, and having a 0% No call/no show record.
  • Follows all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company; maintains a score of 90% or better on all sanitation and safety audits.
  • Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the _Employee Handbook_ and _Dishwasher Training Manual_.
  • Maintains our guest service philosophy by following guest service standards; ensures all dishes and utensils leaving the station are spotless 100% of the time.
  • Performs sidework correctly as specified in the ?Sidework Duties? section of the _Dishwasher Training_ _Manual_.
  • Follows all endofshift checkout procedures with 100% as specified in the ?End of Shift/Checkout Procedures? section of the _Dishwasher Training Manual _and outlined by the company.
  • Follow all dishwashing procedures following the company standards 100% of the time.
  • Maintains a continuous workflow to ensure clean dishes are available 100% of the time.
  • Maintains a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and sidework when there is a need and/or when available.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years experience in similar capacity.
  • Thrive in a fastpaced, high volume environment, and maintains a calm demeanor while quickly and effectively solving problems.
  • Must be hospitable, approachable, and passionate about guest service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
  • Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to take direction, work in a team environment autonomously.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to make periodical fast paced movements and move throughout the venue with ease.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry, or lift at least 20lbs.
  • Must be able to occasionally kneel, bend, crouch, and climb as required.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, cleaning, and stooping.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
