    Job Description Qualifications:

    Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for an Experienced or Senior Quality Engineer (level 3 or 4) to support the Seattle Delivery Center or the Everett Delivery Center, based out of Seattle, Washington, or Everett, Washington.

    We are looking for individuals who are passionate about problem solving, engaging with the production system and doing complex data analysis. Quality Engineers support existing production through process improvement techniques involving defect reduction, verification system design and improvements, and ensures compliance to requirements. Our quality engineers get involved in complex engineering and production challenges and have a critical role in the continuous improvement of our quality management system, products and production system.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
    • Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.
    • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
    • Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
    • Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
    • Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
    • Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
    • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
    • Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
    • Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
    • Works under general direction.
    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • Bachelor's degree or higher
    • 3+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
    • 3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions.
    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
    • 5+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience in conducting a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) associated with a complex technical issue
    • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
    • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems through diverse approaches
    • Experience with Engineering and Change Processes
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams

    Typical Education/Experience:

    Experienced:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Senior:

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    Summary pay range for Experienced: $93,350- $127,650

    Summary pay range for Senior: $ 116,450- $157,550
