Lichtenberg is officially the first district in Berlin to successfully complete a twelve-month auditing process and receive the "Family-Friendly Municipality" certificate.


With over 300,000 inhabitants, Lichtenberg is home to one of the largest employers in the district, with around 2,200 employees.

District Office of Lichtenberg, Berlin, Youth Office, Department of Regional Social Pedagogical Services is seeking several dedicated
Social Workers (m/f/d) with the reference number
4040/42811/RSD to start as soon as possible, on an indefinite basis.


Salary group:
S 14 Part II Section 20.4 of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TV-L)

Full-time with 39.40 hours per week, part-time employment is possible.


Your area of responsibility includes:


The social workers of the Regional Social Pedagogical Services in the Lichtenberg Youth Office are responsible for advising parents, minors, and young adults on issues of education and personal development, as well as initiating or arranging necessary support in a specific territory.

They also initiate protective and support measures for at-risk minors and provide advice in acute crisis situations. They work closely with the family and guardianship court, particularly in providing expert opinions, and actively collaborate with them. They fulfill legal obligations for the protection
