Full-time:

The Rauhe Haus is a diakonic organization. We are close to the people. We base our actions on the values of social work and diakonia. We are committed to innovative developments.

In our fields of work in child and youth welfare, participation with assistance, and social psychiatry, we offer diverse practical placements at different locations (in Hamburg and Southern Holstein) in cooperation with the Protestant University of Social Work & Diakonia:


You can choose a specific focus for your practical experience, but you will also get to know other areas of social work during your studies.


Your Profile:


  • You have a general or technical university entrance qualification.
  • You have a strong interest in an academic degree and want to combine theories of social work with practical experience.
  • You demonstrate your high motivation for social work through volunteer work or a voluntary social year.
  • You want to gain practical experience in the diverse fields of social work during your studies.
  • You are highly motivated and committed.
  • You have a positive view of people and high empathy.
  • You engage with sociopolitical issues and want to take on responsibility in this field.
