The
Communications Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing infrastructure projects executed both by UCLA in-house technicians as well as third-party JOC contractors.

They will consult on construction projects, including coordinating the project plans and cost management for designing, estimating, and management of installs.

They will facilitate projects with UCLA's communications infrastructure and field operations teams, ensuring the successful execution of infrastructure contracts and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

The Communications Infrastructure Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues, managing resources, maintaining service quality, and fostering positive relationships with customers.

The Communications Infrastructure Project Manager will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by ensuring UCLA's IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the university's academic mission.

This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students.

This role will execute UCLA's vision while modeling UCLA's culture and values.
Salary & Compensation

  • UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications

  • Three years experience working in one or more of the following fields: network services, infrastructure projects and services, information technology or network operations, or a related field. (required)
  • Five or more years experience working in one or more of the following fields: network services, infrastructure projects and services, information technology or network operations. (preferred)
  • Experience in complex higher education environments, serving academic and administrative functions of a large public university. (preferred)
  • Strong coordination and leadership skills to manage infrastructure service technicians and engineers effectively. Ability to assign tasks, coordinate schedules, and optimize resource allocation. (required)
  • Indepth knowledge of communications infrastructure technologies, including network design, cabling systems, and telecommunications protocols. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices. (required)
  • Excellent vendor management and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and customers, understand their needs, and provide support and guidance in a professional manner. (required)
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues. (required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders. (required)
  • Able to establish and advance positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and customers. (required)
  • Strong organizational skills and is able to balance competing priorities and support concurrent projects. Ability to work in a projectbased environment using project management practices. (required)
