- Understands and communicates the production schedule and ensures department standards are met.
- Performs quality checks; First article inspections and in-process check to ensure lines are producing to the Suncoast standard.
- Train new employees in different department functions such as, basic floor processes, product flow and procedures, provide on-going training to the team as required.
- Monitor incoming packaging and chemical materials so that the production station runs un-interrupted throughout the shift.
- Maintains Suncoast 5S+ standards in the department.
- Disposition segregated non-conforming material.
- Ensures proper removal and disposal of chemical liners, supersacks, and other packaging remnants.
- Documents lot codes in the department as needed.
- Signs off on clean out and shut down procedures.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
- Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing company policy on Safety, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), housekeeping, material handling and operation standards.
- Extremely well organized with an ability to prioritize work with a keen eye for detail.
- Understanding of basic industrial math skills.
- Proficient with MS Office suite and AS400 (J.D. Edwards).
- Looks for and communicates opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ability to delegate with empathy and compassion toward other employees.
