JOB SUMMARY


A Community Bridges Inc., (CBI) Adolescent Outpatient Counselor is responsible for ensuring, with the assistance of other treatment team members, that each participant is provided the services necessary to achieve the goals of treatment as outlined in their individualized treatment plan.

Adolescent Outpatient Counselors familiarize themselves, through review of the medical/clinical file, with each new participant who is assigned to them, including their assessment and treatment plan, provide counseling services based on best practices models to include group, individual, and family formats as well as provide educational presentations to participants and/or their families as needed.

The Adolescent Outpatient Counselor will provide members with counseling interventions aimed at improving emotional and mental health; Counseling sessions can include but are not limited to academic concerns, self-esteem, peer conflict, depression and anxiety, grief and loss and substance use prevention/ intervention.

CBI Adolescent Outpatient Counselors complete the initial assessment, crisis planning, and treatment planning processes with new participants as needed. When required to complete an intake CBI Outpatient Counselors will follow the established process for intakes.

Skills/Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a field related to behavioral health required. (The exception of those who were licensed prior to 2004 but are currently licensed independently is acceptable).
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with the Adolescent Population preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working with the Substance Abuse population preferred.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, CREDENTIALS, REGISTRATIONS

  • Current AZ Driver's License (Valid and in good standing)
  • Clear 39month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Fingerprint Clearance Care required.
  • Licensure at the associate or independent level with The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as Psychologist, Social worker, Counselor, Marriage and family therapist or Substance Abuse Counselor required.
