    The Opportunity

    The Capabilities and Platforms (C&P) team in our Work Management department has a thrilling opportunity to drive essential, collaborative projects across TC Energy. This team focuses on creating and implementing sustainable business strategies centered around work management systems, platforms, tools, and change management.

    This role offers the chance to work within a team that values innovation, technical expertise, and continuous enhancement. You'll lead and manage a team dedicated to maintaining and evolving the platforms and tools supporting the TC Energy Work Management group, ensuring these components effectively meet user requirements. The role involves extensive interaction with end-users and collaboration with other product teams in the program.

    Serving as the link between end-users and the development team, you'll convey user feedback, steer the product roadmap, propose new features, ensure successful product releases, and maintain focus on the program's strategic goals. The location for this position is in Houston, TX or Charleston, WV.

    What you'll do

    Team leadership:

    • Lead, motivate, and nurture a high-performing team supporting the organization's business process modeling tools (BlueWorx) and SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM) functions
    • Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment that fosters open communication and continuous improvement
    • Hold regular team meetings to share updates and tackle challenges
    • Conduct performance appraisals and offer constructive feedback to team members
    • Identify areas for skill development and implement training programs to enhance the team's abilities

    Operational excellence:

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to grasp their needs, formulate and execute sustainable implementation strategies
    • Work with cross-functional teams and technology partners to outline software requirements, create technical specifications, and align with our strategic vision
    • Develop user journeys and other assets to effectively communicate and garner support for user-centric experiences that best fulfill platform users' needs
    • Identify crucial dependencies and issues, and present recommendations for resolution
    • Maintain a proactive partnership with technology team members to ensure a clear understanding of and timely delivery on business demands in an agile manner
    • Ensure that user feedback shapes roadmaps, ensuring that deliverables meet business requirements
    • Assist in the adoption of new features/functionality by clients and practitioners
    • Contribute to our High-Performance Culture by challenging existing practices and proposing enhancements
    • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and tools, evaluating their relevance to our strategic vision
    • Advocate for and drive the adoption of innovative technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance our product offering to stakeholders

    Minimum qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
    • Minimum of eight years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years of team leadership experience
    • Exceptional technical, analytical, and influencing skills required, along with experience in product management or user experience in an energy, technology, or related company
    • Self-motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative, results-driven, cross-functional environment
    • Skilled problem solver, able to devise innovative and unique solutions
    • Logical thinker with the ability to clearly identify and articulate rationales, assumptions, and risks
    • Excellent relationship-building abilities, establishing trust and credibility with senior stakeholders, business lines, and functions
    • Capability to manage, attract, develop, and retain top talent, open to giving and receiving feedback
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with an objective prioritization approach
    • Outstanding written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including translating technical subjects for non-technical audiences and business requirements for technical audiences
    • Proven track record of delivering outcomes in a complex environment
    • Must demonstrate proficiency in Business Analysis, Management Information Systems, Project Management, Strategy Development, Business Planning & Implementation

    Preferred qualifications

    • Graduate degree in a business or technical field preferred
    • Understanding of the natural gas sector
    • Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM)
    • Familiarity with business process modeling tools (e.g., BlueWorx)
    • Passion for enhancing the client experience; UI/UX/design expertise considered a significant advantage
