As part of the team expansion, we are looking for a Policy & Governance Officer in Melrose Park, NY.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize and implement the DEG's political campaigning (e.g. drafting position papers, organizing and conducting networking events in Bonn and Berlin)
Manage the DEG's parliamentary inquiry process, responding to and coordinating external, often critical, ad hoc requests from the political sphere
Oversee strategic stakeholder communication with civil society (e.g. NGO dialogue) and relevant federal ministries
Accompany critical projects or those with complaints from the DEG and (critical) stakeholders

Requirements

University degree in law, economics, politics, communications, or cultural studies
Extensive professional experience in financing institutions, public institutions, law firms, agencies, or similar institutions
Excellent English skills and proficiency in MS Office
Strong communication and persuasion skills, customer and solutionoriented approach
Strategic and conceptual work style, analytical thinking, and diplomatic skills, even under time pressure
