Job Summary
The Senior Associate Director, Career Management Projects and Events provides operational leadership for a robust schedule of career management programs and events for over 1,400 Evening and Weekend MBA students, Booth alumni, and students matriculating in Booth's newest programs, including Master in Management and Master in Finance.
The Senior Associate Director is also responsible for planning and executing marketing and communications efforts to establish a Career Services brand and increase student engagement.
Additionally, the Senior Associate Director plans, executes, and evaluates programs, projects, and process effectiveness and drives individual and team continuous improvement efforts.
The Senior Associate Director is responsible for general office operations to ensure appropriate inperson and virtual office coverage, and oversees the annual budgeting process for the Gleacher Career Services team, working with leadership on tracking approved budgets, ledger activity, and yearend forecasts. The role requires project management expertise, including leading and participating in interdepartment teams such as resume databases, employment reporting, room reservations, calendar management, registration and evaluation systems, and other relevant activities.Responsibilities
Collaborates with the Career Management team to develop and implement programs and events. Manages Career Management Programs and Events staff. Manages resource allocation decisions for Gleacher Career Management programs.
Provides operational leadership for career coaching, education, and research programs and services. Key planning and executionrelated responsibilities may range from the conception, design, and implementation of programs and events to more tactical and processdriven activities such as budgeting,
facilities management, catering, transportation planning, desktop publishing, or greeting/hosting participants.
Develops and maintains informational resources and materials, such as databases designed to facilitate targeted communications with large groups of program participants.
Partners with coaching colleagues to share instructional content in an organized, creative, or thematic way.Develops, implements, and maintains various aspects of the Career Services communications plan for careerrelated programming. Responsibilities may include creating integrated marketing messages, building brand awareness for numerous programs and service offerings, coordinating volunteer participation, and managing
student communications through electronic and print media.
Provides recommendations for program and technology innovation and enhancements based on team strategic goals, quality of execution, and assessment of student and alumni trends and needs.
Utilizes databases, online survey tools, and Excel to provide ongoing and onetime reports that evaluate programming, monitor student and alumni progress, event participation, and engagement.Designs and maintains web pages and online content for student and alumnifacing resources, including a repository of educational handouts and recordings.
Applies project management expertise in designing and executing a variety of internal processes and systems, such as calendars, registration, and evaluation systems.
Serves as the representative from Career Services on multidepartmental committees, and coordinates perspective and involvement from Career Services for new projects, programs, and technology tools.Conducts complex job search and career management related large lectures, handson workshops, special events, training programs, and oneonone career coaching sessions. Acts as a lead resource for and directs students to other career resources as needed.
Works independently to write timely and effective articles about career management topics for a variety of student publications. Conceptualizes, develops, and delivers career management programming and published materials.
Performs other related work as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Experience:
Minimum five years of business experience in operations management, hospitality, sales, marketing or recruiting.
Experience and expertise with managing programs or projects involving people who may or may not report to you.
Managing special events, workshops, or programs in an educational setting.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
Proficiency with MS office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of career management systems (e.g., Handshake, 12twenty, Simplicity).
Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard), project management systems (e.g., Asana), and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
Experience with and proficient skills using various media and etechnology platforms for presentations and programs, including inperson and virtual events.
Preferred Competencies
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Work extended hours during peak periods, including some evenings and weekends,.
Work independently and collaboratively, think creatively, and facilitate problemsolving.
