Summary:_


General Purpose:
To perform skilled and semi-skilled general maintenance and construction work.

Essential Functions/Duties:_

• Preventative maintenance and simple repair for forklifts, dock doors, plates, lights and locks, racking systems, and other facility assets.
• Preventative maintenance and simple repair for all sample used equipment belts, tape machines, and bulk bagger equipment.
• Preventative maintenance and repair for drains and gearboxes.
• Simple repairs on forklifts, such as tires, brakes, brushes and hoses, fuses, and computer mountings.
• Maintain and check all emergency lighting, including monthly emergency checks.
• Monthly or as needed fire pump testing.
• Maintain all perimeter door seals.
• Repairs to overhead garage doors.
• Light and ballast change out.
• AC maintenance to filters, coils, cleanings, and belts on 16 roof top units plus 12 outside compressors for the coolers.
• Maintaining AC settings and making the switch to winter/summer settings.
• Simple outside work such as concreate and asphalt patches, exterior painting, line and safety painting, safety signage installation, outside ground repairs, and working with and assisting contractors.
• Minor cement work.
• Spot and investigate roof leaks.
• Battery watering and maintenance.
• Simple reefer, trailer, electrical, plumbing, and Pneumatic repairs.
• Install and repair outdoor overhead repairs including checking and screening for bird and pest device needs.
• Assist with maintenance changeoverproduction maintenance helper.
• Help and move maintenance equipment.
• Install indoor signs and posters.
• Install and repair shelving and other housekeeping repairs.
• Flexible availability for emergency situations.
• Other tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Qualification Requirements Knowledge/Skills:_

• Strong technical knowledge of construction, mechanicals, electricals, plumbing, and structure maintenance.
• Ability to work with hand tools and power equipment.
• Strong decisionmaking skills when working with ambiguous information.
• Working knowledge of mobile and webbased systems skills.
• Wellorganized and strong communication skills.
• Detailorientated with an aptitude for problemsolving.
• Familiarity with industrial machinery and equipment (both hot and cold side).
• Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
• Ability to interact in a positive way with all personnel within all functions of the company and with our suppliers and customers.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills as needed.

Experience:_

• 35 years relevant work experience in facility maintenance and/or other industrial warehouse/construction maintenance fields.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current or previous industry certifications preferred.

Physical Activities/Requirements/Conditions:_

This position will require physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching, occasional/frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs or more.).

In this position, you may also be exposed to cold temperatures frequently.

Also required is the ability to comfortably perform maintenance responsibilities which may include the need to work from a ladder, scissor, or man lift, on rooftops or in tight spaces in numerous different types of weather conditions.

Dexterity to safely maneuver through or around racking systems, machinery, wall openings and open spaces.
