Duties:


Applies basic technical knowledge of federal drug and alcohol testing regulations to conduct compliance and enforcement investigations and inspections throughout the United States and its territories to determine aviation industry compliance with the drug and alcohol testing regulations.

Performs inspection assignments under close direction of a manager, team coordinator or inspection lead.


Assists lead inspector in the preparation of technical reports on findings of noncompliance, use critical thinking to determine the root cause of the noncompliance, identify appropriate corrective action(s) required to resolve the noncompliance and conduct risk analysis to determine the appropriate action to address the noncompliance detected.


Contacts are primarily internal to the organizational unit with a manager and other employees to share information, provide data or written analyses, and to discuss the status of assignments.

Work is reviewed frequently during assignments and at completion for all aspects of quality. Work activities typically support the work of other employees and contribute to activities of the organizational unit.

Education Substitution:

Successful completion of a full 4 year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, gained from an accredited college or university.

OR

  • Applicants should provide examples of specialized experience in their work history. If qualifying based on education, a copy of your transcript(s) must be submitted by the closing date of the announcement._
