Making the Transition

Growing

gracefully, learning from my children, and enjoying the “funny”.

I have always enjoyed comedy, and action-packed comedy, is the best!  Watching the fallout and follow-up from the 2019 pandemic has been anything but funny.  The world halted, and entire industries scrambled to figure out what was even necessary in the face of indefinable.  Education had been an outlet, a leg-up, and fuel for the next career opportunity, and my industry kept right on moving; essential workers and all of that, great!  Fatigue, malaise, and delirium were common and ongoing.  My coworkers and I began to giggle at ourselves, but were thankful for what we could still accomplish; living on coffee and remnants of sleep. I decided to change my perspective and attitude toward everything affecting my life, family, school, and work, changing approaches to salvage and build up what DID remain.  Our children were resilient in the midst of it all.  I watched memes, TikTok, and all the other up-and-coming buzz feed entertainment and grew closer with our children.  I learned from them this time, followed their lead to “be” and move on with life.  A giggle, a new perspective, a neutral attitude, and learning to “be” helped me make the transition, gracefully.

I enjoy giving others options whether it is a kind word, advice, resources, or a technical and methodological approach to improve website traffic.  Working has become cathartic, in the enjoyment of it all, and laughing out loud is more than medicinal.  I am thankful to have both.
