    The Role

    This job is onsite, at our Cambridge, MA, office

    • Monitoring samples/Troubleshooting discrepancies.
    • Consolidating created samples/containers (ie slides, blocks, reports,etc.)
    • Searching and retrieving documents and samples.
    • Performing data entry/Monitoring e-mails and various correspondences.
    • Checking that slides/blocks are properly barcoded and labeled.
    • Assisting the pathologists with the technical/clerical work.
    • Assists Laboratory Operations with Quality monitoring in the lab. Including but not limited to the following: Maintaining employee records - CE, Training & Competency, and NYS License. Laboratory Records - CAP/NYS Proficiency test and Alternate Assessment schedules, Instrument forms, charts, etc
    • Additional Administrative duties include; Setting reminders for important dates, distribution of mail, generating and monitoring operations reports, placing orders for common stationary supplies and assisting with specific projects as delegated to by Operations.
    • Assists management team by Triaging issues from Issue Manager, performing first pass for data entry of results as trained.
    • Assists the lab management team with filing and Archiving all data for the laboratory, including data retrieval as required. Maintains all Quality books and binders and prepares new ones annually.
    • Assists Lab Management and Operations Director with laboratory projects
    • Receives results for reference specimens and performs first data entry. Maintains send out logs and files laboratory reports. Coordinates the performance of all relevant tasks for referral test reporting as they arise or as assigned.
    • Assist with Inventory logs and counts.
    You will need
    • You will possess a bachelor's degree (preferred) along with 1 year of related experience
    • You will have basic working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office along with excellent written/verbal communication skills, the ability to handle large work load demands and trouble shoot issues timely when required
    • Exhibit appropriate time management skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to keep accurate, legible records and recognize the need to handle these records and all other information in line with GCP/GLP/GDP.
