Job Overview:

Job responsibilities:

May include, but are not limited to the following:

Generate and issue accurate and timely invoices to customers based on project completion and contractual terms.
Verify billing information, including contract terms, rates, and project details.
Review project contracts and agreements to ensure billing aligns with the terms and conditions specified.
Collaborate with project managers to address any discrepancies or changes in project scope affecting billing.

Prepare regular billing reports for management review, highlighting key metrics and project financial status.
Manage the process of filing liens when necessary, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Conduct regular followups on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payment.
Collaborate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
Maintain organized and uptodate records of billing transactions, lien filings, and collection activities.
Work closely with project managers to understand project milestones and billing requirements.
Communicate effectively with project managers to gather accurate and timely information for invoicing.
Address customer inquiries and concerns related to billing in a professional and courteous manner.
Provide clarification on billing details and work towards resolution of any customer issues.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting or a related field is a plus.
Previous experience in a billing or accounts receivable role, preferably in the construction or electrical contracting industry.
Thorough understanding of construction project billing processes, including milestone billing, progress billing, and retention.
Familiarity with construction contracts, change orders, and cost tracking.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with high attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal teams.
