Job Description and Duties

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Human Resources office is looking for a motivated leader to serve as the Personnel Management Branch (PMB) Chief.

This position regularly works with the most critical and sensitive issues and provides policy guidance and oversight of the branch's personnel programs, including Classification and Recruitment, Examinations, Performance Management, Workplace Investigations, and Employee Wellness.

This position is headquartered in our brand new state of the art high rise building located in downtown Sacramento.

In order to be eligible for this position, you must either be transfer eligible or take and pass the following exam: Staff Services Manager III -

Working Conditions

Involves sitting most of the time in an office setting; work in a high-rise building; attend in-person or virtual meetings.
