Water and Sewer Crew Members

We are seeking pipelayers to join our team.

Responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm and sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes. This position will support the crew by ensuring the installation of water, sewer, and storm pipe is done safely.

Although we require experienced applicants for some positions, we are always looking for employees who are willing to be flexible and learn new skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow job site safety
• General knowledge of main line installation
• Lay sewer, storm water, and drain pipe on construction sites
• Set up and follow a pipe laser
• Shoot and calculate grade and elevation
• Lead and assist laborers
• Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Manhole and structure safety
• Dependable and willing to report to work on time
• Verbal communication skills
• Ability to work extended hours during the construction season
• Strong work ethic

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 60 lbs. without assistance is preferred
• Ability to crawl in and out of structures
• Swiftly climb up and down a ladder
• Frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, squatting, sitting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects throughout daily shift.
• Capable to work in sun, heat and other various weather conditions
• Comfortable to work in dirty and dusty environments
• Minimum age of 18 years old and 5 year pipelayer experience
• Willing to travel and stay out of town Monday
• Thursday night
• Preferred Skills _
• Able to work in close proximity to heavy equipment
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
• Experience with tools (quickie saw, shovel chains, drills, etc.)
• Underground knowledge

Pay:
$ $37.50 per hour
