SaltBlock Hospitality is seeking part-time, seasonal and on-call Event Chef team members to join our growing Hospitality team.

As an Event Chef you will join the on-site catering + culinary team to work as a team in order to execute each individually created event and service all guests with a world class experience.


Responsibilities + Deliverables

  • Meet the SaltBlock Catering team onsite of the scheduled venue space on time and ready to work.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown all of event assets, including kitchen area.
  • Maintain highlevel of professional customer service to the host + all guests
  • Prepare food onsite for catering events in desired service style (buffet, plated, action stations)
  • Flexibility + ability to pivot for each shift, as no two events are the same

Qualifications + Requirements

  • Reliable Transportation
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Catering/Banquet experience preferred, not required
  • Evening and Weekend availability required
  • Punctual, polished + professional
  • Ability to multitask + work quickly and efficiently in a fastpaced high touch environment.
  • Ability to lift 20+ lbs.
  • Food Handler's Certification
  • Knowledge of knife skills, prepping, temping and food presentation

SaltBlock Hospitality is a Tampa-based catering company that is rapidly growing We operate out of the most well-known venue spaces in the Greater Tampa Area including Armature Works, Tampa Museum of Art, Station House + Hyde House for all event types from weddings to private dinners. $ $18.00 per hour

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating weekends
