In this job, you'll work in the Rights Analysis Group (covering the entire service territory) which is a division of Vegetation and Land Management.
You will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting of SCE's property rights.As an
Associate Title Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone.
A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright
- Analyze critical land rights information by researching real property documents and maps via various internal and external systems in support of various business partners such as Local and Technical Planning.
- Review legal descriptions and associated data in support of SCE's real estate holdings, transmission, distribution, and telecommunication facilities.
- Present information and provide recommendations to various departments to resolve title and land rights issues and provide scope of work analysis for replacement, upgrades and rebuilds of SCE's infrastructure in support of relocations, deteriorated poles, pole loading and grid modernization.
The essentials
- One or more years of experience in searching, analyzing, examining, and interpreting various land related rights such as Grants of Easement, Grant Deeds, Quit Claims, Condemnation Pleadings, and/or title related documents.
The preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
- Ability to read, interpret, and plot legal descriptions contained within various real estate documents, such as leases, licenses, easements and grant deeds using Assessor's maps, Record of Survey maps, Tract and Parcel Maps, land related legal descriptions, title reports and associated documents.
- Experience with Land Vision or related title industry software.
- Experience obtaining and analyzing engineering drawings and researching material including public and private records.
- Effective resource and project planning, decision making, multitasking, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You should know
- This position's work mode is
hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
