Job DescriptionJob Title: Staff Accountant (GL Specialist)
Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Pay Rate: $ $35.00 per hour + Benefits
Schedule: M - F, 8 AM - 5 PM
Type: Direct Hire (100% on-site)
DUTIES
Accountant to prepare reports and analyze financial information within the scope of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Responsible for monthly journal entries, general ledger (G/L) accounts analysis and reconciliations.
Handle major accounts in the financial statements and accounting for various complex transactions.
Prepare various month-end reports to support review of the financial statements by the Supervisor and above in accordance with the month-end close checklist.
Interaction with affiliates, operations, sales and accounting/finance departments.
Maintain daily cashbook, prepare cash reports and reconcile bank accounts.
Prepare and maintain fixed asset records and capital projects tracking.
Prepare forms and reports requested by various governmental agencies.
Communicate and assist in preparing supporting documents for quarterly reviews and year- end financial audit.
Assist with various special projects and other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university - required
2+ years of Accounting experience with Month-end closing reports, financial statements, journal entries, general ledger (G/L) accounts analysis and reconciliations - required
