OVERVIEW:

The Family Resource Center Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating and conducting/facilitating all groups and classes for program participants, including parent education classes, parent support, and parent child groups.

Plans, coordinates, and supervises all events at the Family Resource Center.

Provides work direction, guidance, and case management to Family Resource Aides, Intervention Specialist, the Family Support Navigator, and Parent Leaders.

This position actively participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team regarding age-appropriate activities and development and informs the multi-disciplinary team about classes and events their families can attend.


DUTIES:


  • Researches community interests/needs and develops curriculum for appropriate classes.
  • Develops, administers and handsout questionnaires/surveys needed to assess what classes/groups are needed at the site.
  • Facilitates parent education classes and support groups.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the groups including, but not limited to, playcare, transportation, location, materials, snacks and toys.
  • Develops and coordinates a weekly schedule for classes and groups.
  • Evaluates, reviews and incorporates needed improvements and changes to curriculum as needed.
  • Develops specialized parenting classes, groups, and workshops as needed and requested by the team.
  • Identifies and assists with the training of prospective Parent Leaders for cofacilitation.
  • Coordinates and delegates staff to facilitate classes/groups as needed.
  • Assures groups are facilitated in a high quality, strengthbased manner
  • Reports on progress of class participants to relevant parties

  • Works with and trains FRC staff to assess child development issues.
  • Trains Family Resource Aide, Intervention Specialist, and Family Support Navigator at FRC and assures staff attend all required training at Child Abuse Prevention Center (CAPC).
  • Provides day to day supervision and coaching of Family Resource Aide, Intervention Specialist and Family Support Navigator positions.
  • Reviews work hour logs, mile reimbursement logs, cell phone reimbursement logs, and requests time off.
  • Completes CAPC evaluations of Family Resource Aide, Intervention Specialist and Family Support Navigator
  • Works closely with the Program Manager and Team Leaders to ensure compliance with the program's policies and procedures.
  • Participates in recruitment, screening, and hiring of the Family Resource Aide, Intervention Specialist and Family Support Navigator
  • Creates and maintains the work schedule for the Family Resource Aide, Intervention Specialist and Family Support Navigator
  • Reviews referrals and assigns FRC family cases to Family Resource Aide, Intervention Specialist and Family Support Navigator
  • Manages FRC case files.
  • Assigns Family Resource Aide to appropriate activities daily.
  • Provides weekly oneonone supervision to Family Resource Aide, Intervention Specialist and Family Support Navigator

  • Coordinates with outside service providers to provide specialized groups, activities, trainings or other special events at FRC.
  • Facilitates monthly PAC/CAC meetings.
  • Coordinates parent leadership involvement.
  • Participates as a member of the FRC/B&B multiresource team.
  • Provides feedback to Team Leaders and Home Visitors to follow up with child development issues and community resources.
  • Participates and shares information in staff meetings and case conferences.
  • Provides inservice training to team members as needed.
  • Participates in training and required meetings of the program.
