    Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting eligibility assessments, developing individualized education plans (IEPs) with customized goals to address students' identified needs, implementing evidence-based treatment plans, managing caseloads efficiently, and collaborating closely with teachers, families, and the multidisciplinary school team.
    Responsibilities
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' eligibility for speech and language services.
    • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, incorporating goals tailored to each student's specific areas of need.
    • Implement evidence-based treatment plans to address speech and language disorders, targeting goals outlined in the IEP.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
    • Monitor and document student progress towards goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to maximize outcomes.
    • Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom curriculum, providing support and resources as needed.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss student progress, provide strategies for home reinforcement, and address any concerns or questions.
    • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations regarding students' speech and language needs.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including progress notes, assessment reports, and attendance records.
    • Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology, incorporating new techniques and strategies into practice as appropriate.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to speech and language therapy.
    • Collaborate with other members of the school-based team, including special education teachers, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive services for students.
    Qualifications
    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred but optional.
    • Experience working in a school setting, preferably with students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of practice.
