At the Institute for History, Theory and Ethics of Medicine (Director: Professor Dr.

Florian Steger) in Tarpey Village, CA, we are currently seeking a full-time position as a Research Associate (m/f/d) in Medical Sociology.

The position is initially for a period of 3 years, with the possibility of extension. We are looking for a long-term collaboration.


Your responsibilities:


  • Assisting with the organization and coordination of teaching activities in Medical Sociology
  • Assisting with the preparation and implementation of teaching activities in Medical Sociology
  • Assisting with the organization and implementation of research projects at the institute, as well as securing external funding for these projects

Your qualifications:


  • Completed university degree in Sociology, Health Sciences, or a related social science field
  • Proven experience in preparing and conducting teaching in Medical Sociology
  • Proven experience in organizing and coordinating teaching activities
  • Proven research experience in Sociology, Health Sciences, or Social Sciences
  • Ability to work interdisciplinary and in a team
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English
