Join us in accompanying children and adolescents on their journey through life in Chico. In your 3-year vocational school program, you will be thoroughly prepared for this role. You will acquire the knowledge and skills to independently educate children, impart knowledge, and responsibly care for them. Your focus will be on nurturing their individual talents and strengthening their self-confidence and social competence.

Whether in individual or group care, you will have a variety of games, songs, and creative techniques to prepare your charges for the future.

You are sensitive to cultural differences and varying temperaments and needs. Additionally, you will document progress and communicate professionally with colleagues and parents.

Requirements for participation include:

High school diploma with a social internship (minimum 8 weeks) or volunteer service in a social field
Specialized high school diploma with a focus on social work
Middle school diploma + 2 years of vocational training in a social field
Middle school diploma + 2 years of vocational training (IHK)
Middle school diploma + 3 years of vocational training
Middle school diploma + professional activity (minimum 20 hours/week)

If you have experience managing a household with individuals in need of care or education, this can also be recognized.

The content of your vocational school program has a generalist and holistic focus, allowing you to later decide which area of education you would like to work in.
