The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 professions across the country who want to become even better with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you for a 3-year apprenticeship as a Construction Equipment Operator (m/f/d) for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH at our location in Augsburg. The vocational school and training workshop are also located in Augsburg.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • You will support the track construction teams and ensure the safety of rail traffic with them
  • You will learn how to survey the track construction area and operate construction equipment
  • You will learn how to renew the ballast in the track bed, install new rails, operate material handling equipment, and maintain construction equipment
  • Possibility to obtain a Class B driver's license and pass the exam for excavator and loader operator
Your profile:
  • You have (almost) successfully completed school
  • Your German language skills are at least at level B2
  • You are committed, conscientious, and reliable
  • You enjoy working in a team and are always ready to help
  • You have no problem working outdoors and in shifts
