    Job Description

    OVERVIEW

    Cadrex is looking for a CNC Set Up I to prepare and operate various Machining Centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical skills, pay attention to details, and be eager to enhance their expertise.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Help set up CNC machines for production, including loading materials and installing tooling
    • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to understand machining requirements
    • Operate CNC machines to produce precise parts with complex designs
    • Perform basic CNC programming tasks and adjust machine settings
    • Do regular maintenance on CNC machines and replace worn components
    • Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments for quality and efficiency
    • Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet specifications
    • Troubleshoot machining problems and suggest process improvements
    • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

    Requirements

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience in manufacturing or machining is a plus
    • Mechanical skills and ability to operate tools and machinery
    • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
    • Willingness to learn and grow in CNC machining
    • Good communication and teamwork abilities

    EDUCATION

    • Technical certification or equivalent experience preferred

    LOCATION

    • Onsite

    SCHEDULE

    • Monday to Friday

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • While on the job, you'll be around moving mechanical parts, vibration, and occasional risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate to loud

    • Regular activities include standing, using hands, talking, with occasional climbing or lifting up to 25 pounds
